Re: Looking for tremolo bar and original keys for a Talon III
There were a few different bridges types Fujigen used on the Talons. If your TA-III has a USA made Floyd Rose Pro installed, it's possible the bar kit has imperial dimensions while the generic Amazon bar is probably metric to fit the more common Asian or German made locking trems. Did you buy the ar...

Re: HM Strat Neck Fit a Talon II, IV, or V?
Sorry for the late post.
It's not really a good idea. The HM Strat is a different scale length (25.15").
All Talons are 25.5" despite some sources incorrectly stating they are shorter.

Re: Another Black Talon
Hey Richard. You can't see the pics? That strange, they're visible in my browser. I even cleared the cache and they're loading fine. Are you using Chrome? After investigating the serials on both 'curvy' talons, the only thing they have in common is the build year 1991 (L1XXXX and E1XXXX). For some p...

Re: Another Black Talon
I thought it might be worth a mention, just like the Talon IV I purchased a couple of years ago, this V also had some peculiar body contours. Both the heel and horn edges received extra attention from the sanding department. I'd like to know if this was a quirk of an individual builder, specific to ...

Another Black Talon
Just added another V to my collection. Purchased from a local seller. I'd usually pass on a black Talon (I have enough in that colour) but this was in such pristine, as-new condition I couldn't resist. The original hardcase was equally mint and the price was fair. I think I'll be playing this one, i...

Re: Which humbuckers?
Interesting. Do you know if it was Steve Blucher who replied? As far as HH Talons (or HMX models) go, they would be purely prototype models. The lower spec Talons have house brand humbuckers I think. You can identify these by the pole pieces - all DiMarzio humbucker equipped production Talons should...

New Talon Day
My latest Talon, also the first that has a finish other than Black or Pearl White Heartfield IV Refurbish It's a TA-IV, I believe the colour is Chrome Red (If it's Frost Red, please correct me). Original Heartfield case was included in excellent condition which is a big deal. The guitar was pretty f...

Re: Which humbuckers?
Hi Richard Not sure what the base models have but the I-V should have DiMarzio H3 (neck) and H1 (bridge) exclusively designed for Heartfield and maybe 1 or 2 other brands. I contacted DiMarzio years ago to get more info and they replied that the H3 is very similar to the Paf Pro (DP151) and the H1 i...

Re: Blueprints or plans?
A bit late to the party but the best person to assist might be Jim Donahue . He's a CAD programmer and was heavily involved in the Talon development along with Nick Sugimoto who oversaw production. Scott Zimmerman is another name who I believe was part of the project, I'm not 100% sure. If you decid...
